Sports and Remedial Massage or Soft Tissue Therapy
Sports massage and remedial massage are 'catch all' terms which are often used to describe what is actually really soft tissue therapy.

Soft tissue therapy comprises a range of techniques including massage. Your needs will be assessed at the start of your appointment and we will apply the most appropriate techniques to your particular needs.

Your first appointment will probably take a little longer than an hour to allow for some chat and an assessment.

A sports or remedial massage is not just for those taking part in regular sport. It can help anyone who has aches and pains as a result of their job, or day to day activities.
Perhaps you spend a lot of time driving and, as a result suffer from sore shoulders and neck. Or maybe you've been digging the garden or doing DIY and your back is giving you trouble. A treatment can help ease those aching muscles.

If you do take part in sport - running, triathlon, cycling, football, golf etc - regular treatments can stop that niggling pain from turning into an injury that could stop you doing the sport you love. If you take part in races or competitions, a post event massage can help deal with delayed onset muscles soreness (DOMS) and aid your recovery.

And if - heaven forbid - you are injured and can't take part in your activities, a programme of treatments combined with remedial stretching and exercises could get you back out there. Some of the injuries we can help you with include:

-
Shin splints
-
Plantar Fasciitis
-
Iliotibial Band Syndrome
-
Lower back pain
-
Neck and shoulder pain
-
Tennis or golfer's elbow
-
Ankle sprains
